Can you believe the big rings that everyone is wearing? We love them! Last season, we saw the introduction of the double ring, but this season rings have gotten even larger and more plentiful. Its not enough to wear just one big ring, now you have to wear one on every finger. Match back to those stackable bracelets! More is definitely better this season!
The main trends we are seeing in big rings are the animal ring, knuckle ring, skulls and Egyptian jewelry motifs. Many of these large cast rings incorporate enamel and crystals. If you’re looking for some glitz, there is no shortage of crystal covered rings! Bling, bling please!
Their is no animal ring more fabulous than Cartier’s Panther ring! But let’s face it, who has $7,000 plus for just one ring? You can’t go without food an water for the next two months! More reasonably priced, yet just as fierce, animal rings are popping up everywhere from Forever 21, Rachel Roy, Noir Jewelry, and Kenneth Jay Lane. Forever 21 has been stealing the show with their ridiculously inexpensive animal ring extravagance. Its incredible what they can make for under $6. We can’t help but pick up two or three of them every we stop by their site! The selection is always changing. In fact, the image of of the double finger zebra ring is from my personal collection… isn’t it ridiculous?
Another favorite is the knuckle ring. These finger accessories have gone from runway to mainstream in only a few months time. House of Harlow and Low Luv by Erin Watson both have a couple different knuckle ring options in their lines. They are huge, mesmerizing and demand instant fashion elitist respect.
If sparkle is what you are looking for, then go for the skull jewelry. Alexander Mcqueen is killing it with the Skull rings. We can never get enough. Dripping with sparkle and style, bursting with personality. Cheaper versions have started to make their way into the retail scene most notable at River Island with their beautifully crowned skulls. You get just as much bang for less buck
But don’t get caught wearing just one of these big rings! You have to mix and match to create a whole hand look. Wear your magnificent elephant head next to your knuckle ring, next to a skull ring, or go for all skulls on one hand! This chunky trend looks good with your sweet boho dresses and basic skinny jeans. Cast rings in metallic tones look best with earthy, fall colors. For your best going out look, stack dark gunmetal platings and pave crystal bling. Nothing like a little black dress, high platform heels and your hands dripping in pave skulls. Ooh la la!
